Supported volunteers presented with Certificates of Achievement by Newbury Mayor

Supported volunteers were delighted to receive their Certificates of Achievement from Cllr David Harman, the Mayor of Newbury, at the Newbury Community Resource Centre – often known as the Community Furniture Project – today.

The volunteers, who attend NCRC’s Training and Community Support Centre in Bone Lane and the Growing 2Gether project near Kingsclere, had successfully completed accredited training courses in a range of skills, including woodwork, garden maintenance, vehicle and bicycle maintenance, and health and safety.

NCRC offers all its volunteers a range of accredited courses designed by LASER (Learning Awards South East Region).  The Learning, Employability and Progression (LEAP) courses can be tailored to suit all ability levels and are supported by West Berkshire Council’s Adult and Community Learning Department.
