Support in the local community

Training & Community Support, based at our site in Bone Lane, Newbury, focuses on the delivery of services for adults with complex learning disabilities, people with mental health issues and young people not engaged in mainstream education. Services include opportunities for individuals to learn practical, transferable skills and build relationships in a flexible, supportive environment. We aim to inspire everyone to “think big” in terms of what they can achieve.

We also provide Training and Community Support services at our Basingstoke site

Supported volunteering

Supported volunteering

We provide supported volunteering opportunities primarily for adults with learning disabilities, but also for those struggling with their mental health. We also work with young people from both mainstream schools as well as pupil referral units and other educational partnerships.

The team at T&CS specialise in providing support to develop a participant’s capacity to become a more skilled, independent and confident member of the community.

Skills-based activities are available in our workshops where activities include bicycle repair, electrical repair, furniture restoration and assembly, as well as cookery in our training kitchen.  Contact us for more information.
