DONATIONS OF FURNITURE, ELECTRICAL AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS
We accept donations of furniture, household goods and electrical items as well as many of the other items that make a home. All need to be in good condition. Larger items can be collected from your home by our van crew on weekdays. We usually have a one to three day lead-in time for collections, but if you can bring items to us during our opening hours, we will gladly receive them (if they are reusable).
To avoid a wasted journey, please ring us before you bring items, so we can confirm that we can make good use of them and they meet any relevant Trading Standards requirements.

You can also donate to our Essential Household Goods Support Scheme, which provides essential items free of charge to those in most need, via our Amazon Wish List.

If you would like to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of the collection (it currently costs us an average of £15 to make a collection) please advise a member of our staff when confirming details of your collection. If you are a tax payer you can Gift Aid any financial donation.
WE MEET ALL REGULATIONS FOR FURNITURE
All upholstered furniture we collect for reuse must comply with the 1988 Fire Regulations and either have a label attached which declares this or a label with a post 1988 manufacturing date.
All mattresses must also comply with Fire Regulations and have a label attached stating ‘Resistant’ with a symbol of a match or cigarette and be free of any stains.
There are also numerous other regulations we must comply with so please call us if you require any further guidance.
We do accept working electrical goods with a CE label, which we safety test, but are unable to accept gas appliances.
