Growing 2gether

Nurturing wellbeing through nature

Growing 2gether is a therapeutic horticulture and gardening project for adults and young people with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental ill health near Kingsclere in North Hampshire. Facilities include greenhouses, allotments, an orchard, a workshop and kitchen. The project is supported by the Greenham Trust, which owns the site.

We also offer sessions for primary schools, children’s groups and run a free toddler group enabling children to engage with the natural world and learn through play.

Training & Community Support

Support in the local community

The Training & Community Support Centre delivers services and support for adults with complex learning disabilities or those struggling with mental health, and for young people not engaged in mainstream education. The Centre is at our Bone Lane site in Newbury, but we also offer these services at our Furniture Project in Basingstoke

We provide opportunities for supported volunteering and accredited training in practical, transferable skills as well as the chance to build social relationships in a flexible environment.

Supporting vulnerable people
in our local communities

The Newbury Community Resource Centre is a registered charity (no. 1082243) helping local people who are facing challenges related to disability, poverty, youth or ill health or other social or economic circumstances.

We support independent and sustainable living by offering good quality re‑used furniture and household items in our Community Furniture Projects. Plus, we provide opportunities for meaningful volunteering, training and work experience.

We are also committed to caring for our environment, working to encourage environmentally beneficial activities and the conservation and protection of the natural world and its resources.
