Volunteering at one of the projects operated by NCRC is a rewarding experience and a valuable use of your time and talents.  What’s more you will be directly helping other people in your local community.  It’s a great way to meet new people, develop valuable skills or share your skills with others.

Sorry – we have no paid employment vacancies at the moment.

Volunteering at Basingstoke

New volunteers are always welcome at our Basingstoke Community Furniture Project and we have a wide range of volunteer roles available in the shop. We are particularly keen to hear from people who may have experience or an aptitude for:

  • Bicycle repair
  • Electrical repair and PAT testing (we can train someone on this)
  • Retail roles and customer service

Would you like to join our team of friendly volunteers? We’d be delighted to hear from you! If you already have practical skills such as woodwork, bike repair, electrical repair, painting, cooking, that would be very useful but if not, you can learn too while helping someone else.

We often have roles available in both the Furniture Project shop and in our Training & Community Support Centre.

Roles in the shop are available in most areas of retail including customer-facing and stock sorting.  If you have retail experience or are just a ‘people person’ then this could be a great opportunity for you.  Generally, we can offer hours to suit you.

Our team in the Training & Community Support centre are very keen to hear from people who have good carpentry skills who are happy to share these with our day service users who have learning disabilities.  We would also love to hear from people who would be able to drive a minibus.  But we are happy to hear from anyone including those who would like to gain valuable work experience in this environment.

Let us offer you a valuable use for your skills, or help you to acquire new ones through volunteering. Getting involved in our horticultural activities or mentoring schemes is a mutually beneficial and hugely rewarding experience.  We are always looking for people who would like to work outdoors either getting involved with horticulture and gardening or with site maintenance.  If you can spare a few hours a week or more why not help us to help others at Growing 2gether.
