Light at the end of the tunnel? We certainly hope so! After such a strange year, where our Community Furniture Shops have been alternately opened then closed, we hope that ‘normal service can be resumed’ from Monday 12th April.
The shops may have been closed during the three lockdown periods but we’ve been kept busy throughout the pandemic, working alongside West Berkshire Council, Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council and other local charities and referral agencies. From delivering food parcels, furnishing accommodation for people who were previously homeless and continuing our day services for adults and young people with disabilities, we’ve aimed to continue to help those in most need in our local communities during these difficult times.
Children without access to suitable computer equipment for home learning have been the beneficiaries of our latest project. In partnership with Green Machine Computers, we’ve been collecting unwanted desktops, laptops and tablets, which are wiped and refurbished before being distributed to those in need.
We hope all our customers and supporters have remained safe and well throughout the pandemic and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
